Today I didn’t get to go to the NICU until 11am. Ayla & Eden got to have a fun treat and go with a friend to get their hair done in an updo and finger and toenails painted so I stayed at home to see them off.

Upon arriving at the NICU we got a report from the nurse practitioner on the boys.
Jude has been a busy little pooper – 8 bowel movements yesterday! This is good to help get the bilirubin out from the jaundice. Jude’s weight is up today at 4 lbs 13.7 oz. He has clearance to sort of just eat the amount he wants now instead of being forced a certain amount. Which is so nice cause its not always pleasant trying to get him to eat when he seems full.
Zeke is up again today in weight at 5lbs 7oz and his feeds were upped again to 44 ml. He is also taking enough by mouth now to be able to get his IV out! Yippee!!Picture: Jude's little feet

Zeke was up and ready to eat so he got to go first which is not usually the way it goes. He was nice and away and did beautifully at breastfeeding. Then I passed him off to Matt and I went over to feed Jude. Zeke took the rest of his feeding by bottle and actually did great this time and finished most of it by mouth for the first time.
Jude also did great with breastfeeding and I got to snuggle with him awhile before it was time to pump and then go home.
