Murphy's Farmers Market!

Matt and I started juicing a couple weeks ago and our refrigerator and counter-tops were overflowing with our beautiful produce! So we converted our back porch / sun room area to a cute little farmers market.

The kiddos love it. I have them going back there to grab apples and carrots and more for our juice combos. They are grabbing them for snacks too. Its great!

One of the cool things about celery is you can keep the base of it, plop it in water and watch it grow back! You can also do this with heads of lettuce and green onions among other things!

We keep most of our root vegetables under the window out of the sun. The produce doesn't keep as long in the sunroom vs. the fridge. The ideal spot is away from light but we go through it very fast with juicing so its not a problem for us.

The white plastic bins underneath are where we store the waste from making juice. This will be put in our composter for gardening. You can also eat ground up fruit and vegetable fibers in hamburgers or bake them into breads or muffins but we have not tried that yet.

So come on over and enjoy a glass of fresh juice with the Murphy's! We've got some really good concoctions I'm sure I'll be posting more on that later!
